Numerous mass media reports that according to all indications, the Russians are considering the option of withdrawing from the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. However, they will not be able to leave simply, the preparations are underway now.
The ZNPP has been under Russian control for a year now. This object has become the most discussed at the international level, as it poses a real threat to the world. The Russian side was in almost constant contact with the IAEA missions, which all the time insisted on the demilitarization of the ZNPP.
Recently, a group of atomic energy experts from the Russian Federation came to the station. They studied in detail all the facilities and equipment of the ZNPP. A unique object – the Center for training repair and management personnel of Energoatom – attracted special interest. It was opened based on the educational and training center of the station.
For the opening of this object, money was allocated not only by Ukraine but also by the world community:
- 500 million UAH – Energoatom;
- 13 million EUR – the EU.
Why is this center so important?
Specialists from all over the world came to the training center to undergo training. Here they practiced skills and gained knowledge, working on equipment for the operation and maintenance of nuclear power plants. This center is considered unique in the whole world.
Now Russian nuclear scientists are studying this equipment and making a register of what can be disassembled and taken to the territory of Russia. The same actions are applied to some stationary equipment outside the territory of the educational center.
Wishful thinking
Based on these actions, the majority of mass media stated that the military leadership of the Russian Federation is considering possible scenarios of retreat from Energodar. However, disassembling and removal of equipment from the station do not necessarily indicate this. First of all, this is a banal desire to take expensive equipment and use it for its own purposes.
