The leak of extremely important information from the headquarters of the US Department of Defense is a real security defeat for this country. Although Ukraine immediately declared that the data was a fiction spread by Russia to provoke a division between the allies, the Pentagon itself has not yet reached a conclusion. It now turns out who became the source of the leak of documents.
Who is he?
The suspect in this crime is Jack Teixeira, a National Guard soldier in Massachusetts. He is 21, and his friends helped to identify him.

He decided to save the world
The motivation was not obvious – it was not cooperation with another country or anything like that. The reason is more banal – the desire to share information with people. Jack Teixeira believes that Ukraine and Russia are related countries that have too much in common to fight against each other.
The military man explains the transfer of data by the fact that he wanted to open people’s eyes to the truth because they trust propaganda too much.

At first, he reprinted documents, but this business takes time, so soon Jack began to take photos. This is what helped to identify him. In the pictures, there was a marble tabletop, which is also in the photo on the network of one of the relatives of the military man, taken at Teixeira’s home. A white floor can also be seen there, and it also matches the interior.
Jack has been transferring files since February 2022 in the Discord chat. He was registered under the nickname OG. In the same chat, one user presented himself as a citizen of Russia, although he is actually from Kentucky. In the chat, everyone agreed that the information would not go beyond that communication so as not to harm the Americans, but they broke the promise.

One of Teixeira’s friends noted that he was not naive and perfectly understood the consequences of his actions. The coming months will show how serious the results will be and whether this will prevent the Ukrainian counterattack.
