From a historical perspective, relations between Poland and Ukraine cannot be called good neighborly. For many centuries, the eastern Ukrainian territories were a delicacy for the Poles. Moreover, from the perspective of time, it is difficult to determine objectively how to call these regions correctly: eastern Ukrainian lands or western Polish ones. It all depends on which period to stop.
To the extent of his depravity
Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia Medvedev looks at the prospect of the development of Polish-Ukrainian relations, applying the philosophy of Russian politicians. Therefore, he spoke about the fact that the current alliance of these two countries will be used by Poland to satisfy the imperial needs of the latter.
The country that annexed Crimea despite all international statutes and conditions, justifying that it was under the rule of Russia for a certain period of time, cannot perceive other people’s actions differently.
Russian propaganda found the culprit
At the same time, Medvedev called Poland a country without intellectual forces, “thrown into the past”, one that dreams of political revenge against Russia. In addition, he blamed the Polish government of the period between the two World Wars for the actions that led to the emergence of nationalism, Banderism, and the transformation of Ukraine into a “hotbed of bloody Satanism.”
