A safe containing wads of dollars was discovered during an investigation. NABU released a photo of the banknotes, stating that this is the biggest case involving the highest-ranking official in the agency’s history.

In order to expose a corruption scheme, a national agency detective went undercover and participated in the activities of a criminal organization. The bribe was part of a scheme to influence court decisions in favor of Kostyantyn Zhevago, the owner of the “Finance and Credit” group.

The investigation is ongoing as there are assumptions that the criminal group collaborated with not just the head of the Supreme Court of Ukraine, but also other high-ranking officials. Evidence suggests that the pressure on the courts was widespread and involved multiple entities. Putting an end to this long-running system is crucial for upholding the legal integrity of Ukraine.
