Costs for the bunker where the President of Russia hides from threats increased again after another drone attack in Moscow. Now they have exceeded all the records that were set before.
How much does the life cost?
The Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation reports in the “Electronic budget” system about the funds that the state spends on bunker maintenance. Over the past year, costs have increased. This increase is not solely due to inflation, but rather due to heightened measures being taken. It’s possible to understand the difference by comparing the budget level for the “functioning of the President of the Russian Federatio” this and last year:
- May 2022 – 12.9 billion rubles;
- May 2023 – 14.8 billion rubles.
Thus, the appropriation increased by 15% and became the most financed item of the treasury.
A priceless person
The security system has been implementing more measures with every drone raid. This trend started in the winter of 2023 when the first attacks on Russian territories occurred. In May, there were two raids, with the President of the Russian Federation believed to be the intended target:
- May 3 – Kremlin;
- May 30 – Novo-Ogaryovo.
That is why the amount for the maintenance of the President of Russia, equal to 19.1 billion rubles, was included in the budget law. That is, it will be 30% more than last year.
