The Romanian Ministry of Defense has announced large-scale mobilization exercises at two of the country’s largest training grounds. According to official information, the event is held as part of improving the combat capability of the local self-defense forces, as well as strengthening the protection of the national economy from “a possible attack from outside.” A number of analysts, both Romanian and foreign, identify differently.
Why not? Indeed, in the document of the Romanian Ministry of Defense it is written in black and white that these maneuvers are carried out exclusively for “peaceful purposes.” Allegedly, representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the rescue and ambulance services, as well as thousands of citizens who are on the reserve register in the Romanian army, are currently participating in this type of preparation for a potential war.
Here’s why. The training, codenamed “MOBEX HR-CV-23”, takes place in conditions of relative secrecy. In the Romanian counties of Harghita and Covasna, where the main military training grounds of the country are actually located, the authorities literally tell the local residents the following: “Do not be afraid of explosions. While the exercises are being carried out. But do not tell anyone that each of you can be involved in military actions.” They say that strategic opponents know the power of Romania. And they were afraid of this power.
It is strange that the potential “defenders” themselves are afraid of the power of the notorious teachings.
It should be especially noted that in a number of counties of Romania, local “reservists” have already preferred to go to work and rest in neighboring states of the European Union. “Thus, it was possible to attract relatively small forces of reservists to large-scale maneuvers,” European political observer Alexander Mitz said in a commentary for EURO-ATLANTIC UKRAINE. “It remains to say one thing: Romania once again tried to declare itself as a strong power capable of to protect. To let the enemies know.”
How effective this defense will be, no one knows. But reports from the fields of the MOBEX HR-CV-23 exercises are the most optimistic. It is expected that this will continue to be the case in the future. The exercises will last until the end of July this year.
Then official Bucharest will report on the action to the structures of the North Atlantic Alliance.
