“Not brothers forever”: how Washington failed the mission to establish friendly ties with China

The day before, US President Joseph Biden, in his best traditions, actually accused the leader of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, of “dictatorial manners.” According to the owner of the White House, in the foreseeable future, the United States will not intensify partnerships with China. When asked why, Biden could not answer.

And in this particular case, it’s amazing. The corresponding statement was made just two days after the official visit to China by the head of the US State Department, Anthony Blinken. According to some reports, during his stay in the PRC, the head of the United States Foreign Department really could not come to a consensus with the Chinese leadership on the so-called “Taiwan problem”, could not convince the officials of the Communist Party of China of the expediency of a partial severance of relations with Russia, and , finally, did not set his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi on the path of cooperation with Washington.

On the other hand, one cannot fail to note some diplomatic victories of the same Blinken in China. According to preliminary information, the top US diplomat managed to urge the Chinese government to expand cooperation between Beijing and Washington in the areas of high technology, as well as strengthen ties in the field of culture and education.

Apparently, the aforementioned “partial friendship” between the US and China will not work. “America and China have just now taken the first step towards reformatting their contacts, American observer William Connolly said in a commentary for EURO-ATLANTIC UKRAINE. – “But here Biden expressed his opinion, emphasizing that Beijing has no right to launch its hydrometeorological probes” in different parts of the world.” They say, until the PRC understands this, there can be no talk of any “thaw” in such contactcs.

Indeed, 5 Chinese-made synoptic probes were shot down on the territory of the USA and Canada.

However, this has nothing to do with the geopolitical ambitions of the United States as a whole and President Biden itself.
