Rob Bauer explained what the situation on the battlefield depends on. The Ukrainian army has demonstrated the ability to achieve success on the battlefield, but for this, they need military assistance from Western countries. The Alliance also added that Ukraine has a chance for success. This was stated by the head of the NATO Military Committee, Rob Bauer, at the meeting of the Military Committee of Defense Chiefs. He also added that the speed of Western weapon transfers affects the lives of Ukrainians.
How Western Weapons Affect the Course of the War
Rob Bauer noted that the speed of Western weapon transfers affects the lives of Ukrainians. “Time in Ukraine is not measured in days, weeks, or months. It is measured in human lives. In Alliance countries, a week is a week. In Ukraine, a week is a mother… a father… a child… a friend… a loved one… lost forever,” said Rob Bauer.
The head of the Alliance Military Committee stated that Ukraine would continue to receive support from partners. He urged NATO countries to choose support for Ukraine over achieving Alliance goals. Admiral Bauer says that the Russian leadership “is ready to sacrifice hundreds of thousands of its own people, not even caring to retrieve their bodies from the battlefield.”
According to him, the Russian authorities are also ready to jeopardize the well-being of many people by using food, energy, and migration as weapons. However, Ukraine still has a chance for victory. “It is not too late for Ukraine to win. Ukraine’s freedom cannot die, must not die, and will not die,” added Bauer.
