The North Atlantic Alliance assumes that Russia may attack its facilities in Europe

Last week, several American military bases in Europe were put on heightened alert status due to intelligence from American reconnaissance about possible sabotage attacks. CNN reports that Russia views US military bases and personnel as potential targets for attacks, using proxy forces supported by them.

CNN sources claim that intelligence indicates Russia’s intentions to attack American targets through intermediaries. This threat became particularly acute after several incidents in Europe in recent months. In April of this year, two individuals, citizens of Germany and Russia, were arrested on suspicion of preparing explosions and arson at Moscow’s request. Among their targets were US military bases.

The information obtained by American intelligence over the past two weeks was so alarming that it required immediate security reinforcements. On June 30, several American military bases in Europe raised their alert level to “Charlie” force protection status, which is used in the event of a potential terrorist threat or attack on personnel or facilities.

These events underscore the seriousness and reality of the threats from Russia, which appears ready to use any means to destabilize the situation and undermine the security of the US and their allies in Europe.
