Премія 161 thousand with a salary of 12.5 thousand: scandal with salaries to “Servant of the People” staff

The National Agency on Corruption Prevention revealed violations in the financial reports of the party “Servant of the People” regarding expenses over the past four years. It was found that the party transferred over 160 million hryvnias to the company “Profmarket Service” for hiring personnel. However, instead of the anticipated salary, the employees were receiving much higher amounts.

According to NACP, the company received 10% of the total expenses for staff maintenance, including salaries, bonuses, taxes, and other payments. Meanwhile, the employees’ salaries could be low, but their income was significantly higher due to generous bonuses. For example, in 2021, the leading consultant in the public relations department received 173.9 thousand hryvnias instead of 12.5 thousand hryvnias per month, thanks to a bonus of 161.1 thousand hryvnias in the first month of work.

The party “Servant of the People” explained to NACP that the decision on bonuses was made by the head of “Profmarket Service.” Interestingly, the company was established just a month before signing the contract with the party and was liquidated immediately after its completion.

CIVIC MOVEMENT CHESNO also noted that the company’s employees were representatives of the party in various regions, and the liquidation committee was headed by the chief accountant of the party Valentina Makarova. The owner of the company turned out to be a concert master from Kryvyi Rih, Oksana Nadraga, who resides abroad. The organization was managed by Roman Vorobyov, the authorized person of “Servant of the People” and assistant to MP Yevgenia Kravchuk, and before him – Marina Shatunova, a member of the council of the regional organization “Servant of the People” in Kyiv.

It is worth recalling that NACP also audited the financial reports of the party “Holos,” as a result of which the state funding of the party was suspended. In the “Holos” party, this was called a dangerous precedent.
