Biden’s Coronavirus Illness: Possible Change of Election Date in the USA

It became known that Biden has contracted a dangerous illness, the consequences of which can be really serious, especially for a person of his age. Due to his diagnosis, Biden canceled a planned appearance in Las Vegas. But experts believe that this is far from the only change that the news can bring, because the health of the leader of one of the leading countries is not only his health, but also an important political factor.

Coincidence?

Interestingly, his illness was discovered after he stated that he may withdraw from the presidential race solely due to health problems, all other reasons being excluded.

Some analysts believe that the illness “emerged” at the perfect moment: while still dealing with the attempt on Trump, the Democrats have once again drawn attention to themselves in such a simple way – now, supposedly, Biden got sick. And again, COVID came in handy.

If one does not believe in this, it can be said that it is a cunning way to hide him from the public for a while and figure out how to save the situation for the Democrats (maybe even finally withdraw Joe from the race?).

History Repeats

Something similar already happened in recent American history: one president contracted COVID during the 2020 election campaign. The surprise: his name was Donald Trump.

Kamala Harris may take over until new elections, but what will happen with the elections themselves?

To cancel or postpone the presidential elections – Congress has this right. However, the date “the Tuesday after the first Monday in November” was set back in 1845. Since then, elections have not been canceled even during the Civil War and World War II. It is such a cast-iron American tradition. Their postponement or cancellation would violate a 175-year-old tradition, and Americans are rightly called the biggest traditionalists in the world.

So, we are currently witnessing how the United States, just a few months before extremely important elections for the world, are entering an era of unpredictability.
