Is an Attack Planned: Belarus Moves Troops to Ukrainian Border

Information became known from Belarusian sources. For the first time, the Belarusian state publication Belta reported this, citing the Minister of Defense of Belarus, Viktor Khrenin.

Self-proclaimed leader of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, ordered the military, including the Polonez rocket systems and Iskander missile complexes, to be moved to the border with Ukraine in the Gomel and Mozyr directions. Belarusian Minister of Defense Viktor Khrenin stated that special operations forces, ground forces, and missile troops had been ordered to move to specified areas.

These actions are taking place against the backdrop of allegations by Lukashenko that Ukraine allegedly violated Belarus airspace with drones. The head of the Disinformation Resistance Center at the National Security and Defense Council reacted to such statements, stating that the movement of Belarusian troops to the border with Ukraine is an attempt to help Putin and divert the attention of the Ukrainian command. He also emphasized that Lukashenko likely realizes the consequences of potential provocations.

It should be noted that on August 10, Lukashenko claimed a violation of Belarus’ airspace by Ukraine, stating that Belarusian air defense had shot down several targets from the Ukrainian side.
