In Ukraine, by the end of next year, all public buildings will be equipped with solar panels and energy storage systems. Deputy Minister of Energy Svitlana Hrynchuk announced this during a national telethon. She reminded that the government had previously adopted a decision to mandatory install such systems in all state buildings by the end of 2025, but this deadline has now been significantly shortened.
The decision includes all institutions, including ministries, departments, agencies, as well as regional military administrations, which are required to install solar panels. This is not only done to increase the energy independence of critical infrastructure, but also to strengthen the energy security of every Ukrainian.
In addition, the Ukrainian government has updated the mechanism of state financing for citizens who want to equip their households with installations for electricity generation from renewable sources. This is another step towards making Ukraine more energy independent and ecologically sustainable, supporting the transition to green energy. Installing such systems will not only reduce dependence on traditional energy sources, but also ensure stable energy supply even in crisis situations.
