Bild and the fake “victory plan” of Zelensky: what happened?

A scandal erupted after the German tabloid Bild published an article about the alleged “victory plan” of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. But it’s not that simple! In response to this, the advisor to the President of Ukraine, Dmytro Lytvyn, stated that the information from Bild has nothing to do with the real situation.

What did Bild claim?

According to Bild’s publication, this mysterious “victory plan” supposedly includes several important points:

  1. Ukraine allegedly plans to use long-range Western weapons to strike Russian territory.
  2. The document mentions the possibility of “local ceasefire in certain areas of the front,” which, according to the tabloid, means a temporary freezing of the situation on the front.

Reaction from the President’s Office

But things are not as the Germans wrote. Dmytro Lytvyn directly stated that the Bild publication didn’t even see this document, and the few people working on the plan did not have any contact with the journalists. Lytvyn emphasized that Ukraine categorically rejects any “war freezing” and has no plans to take any steps towards “Minsk-3” or anything similar.

Ukraine Against War Freezing

The Ukrainian authorities at all levels emphasize that there is no talk of freezing the conflict. Zelensky and his team stress that there is only one path – victory. It is important that this plan is supported by the United States, which remains a key ally of Ukraine.

Does this plan actually exist?

According to Litvin, the details of the plan will first be presented to the United States. This means that its final provisions are still being worked out, and no one is allowed to draw hasty conclusions. In addition, the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Georgiy Tikhyy, also refuted information from Bild, stating that the president’s plan will only strengthen Ukraine and its military.

Why is this important?

Information like this from Bild can significantly influence public opinion both in Ukraine and abroad. However, it is important to remember that during times of war it is crucial to verify information and trust only official sources.
