Hopes or disappointments: “Rammstein” will still happen

In November, an important “Ramstein” format meeting awaits us, where US President Joe Biden will be present. But there is one important clarification – this time everything will take place in an online format. This format for the meeting was chosen due to current circumstances, and it promises to be no less significant and influential.

A Meeting That Matters for Ukraine

The main topic is, of course, the security of Ukraine. According to representatives of the White House, Biden and Zelensky have agreed to actively work together with international partners to ensure that Ukraine receives all the necessary equipment to counter Russia. This includes both modern technology and weapons that will give our country an advantage in the war.

What Happened to the Previous Meeting?

You may remember that Biden did not attend “Ramstein” in October due to Hurricane “Milton.” The meeting was canceled then, but now it will still take place. Although virtual, this will not prevent discussing important issues and coordinating additional assistance for Ukraine.

Ukrainian Expectations from “Ramstein”

Also on the agenda are questions regarding the reaction of Western allies to the participation of North Korean soldiers in the war against Ukraine. This is causing significant concern in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and our military personnel want to see a reaction from partners. As Major of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Maxim Zhorin noted, Western countries have not yet responded to this challenge, but such a reaction is very important for further actions on the battlefield.

Summary

Therefore, the November “Ramstein” will be another important step in strengthening Ukraine’s defense capability. President Biden will personally coordinate international aid, which means that the US and other partners continue to provide crucial support to our country. We await the results of this meeting and hope for new arms deliveries that will help Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression.
