According to the latest data from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Russian forces have intensified their offensive operations both in border areas of Russia and on Ukrainian territory. Advancement is taking place in multiple directions, including in the Kursk region and in the Donbas. However, confirmed changes on the front line remain minimal.
Situation in Kursk Region
Geolocation data indicates the advancement of Russian units to the west of the settlement of Mala Loknya, near Sudzha. This likely occurred as a result of a mechanized attack carried out by a unit of the Russian 155th Marine Infantry. However, ISW analysts have not identified visual confirmations of claims of capturing new positions, including Plekhovo, Lyubimivka, and Tolstoy Luh.
In addition, Russian sources report alleged Ukrainian troop concentration in this region. Despite these claims, there is no confirmed change in the front line.
Eastern Ukraine: Active Combat Operations Unchanged
Kharkiv Region
In the areas of Vovchansk and Staritsa, Russian forces continue to attack, but there are no confirmed changes on the front line. There were claims of advancement in Vovchansk, but ISW found no evidence of this.
Luhansk Region
According to geolocation footage, Russian forces have advanced to the central part of Kruhlyakivka and the forested area near Dybrova. Once again, there are no confirmed changes. Russian sources also claim advancement in the Vyshneve and Nevske areas, but there is a lack of visual evidence.
Operations in Donetsk Region
Russian bloggers claim successes in the areas of Verkhniokam’yanske, Chasove Yar, and Kalynivka, but there are no confirmed changes on the front line. Despite active offensive operations, especially in the area of Toretsk, no visible shifts have been recorded.
