The Russian-Ukrainian war indirectly activated a number of sectors of the economy of a number of European countries. This is stated in the editorial material of the popular Romanian TV channel Digi24. Local journalists, citing Reuters data, report that since February 2022, military factories in the territory from Romania to Germany have sharply increased the production of weapons and ammunition, which actually saved the corresponding capacities from collapse. What is going on anyway?
At first glance, the answer to this question is extremely simple. The fighting in Ukraine caused a real boom in demand for weapons. Now the manufacturers of these products are actively attracting thousands of new employees to their factories, including Ukrainian refugees. The most intensive development of the same enterprises is in Poland and the Czech Republic.
However, if you study the essence of the issue in more detail, it becomes clear that the “defense industry” has given a new impetus to the economic development of Central and Eastern Europe. “It’s no secret that now our industrial structures will receive multimillion-dollar orders,” said European political observer Klaus Hoff in a special commentary for EURO-ATLANTIC UKRAINE. – And here we are talking about a kind of “chain reaction”, when one industry ensures the development of another. It is quite obvious that in the foreseeable future we will all witness the strengthening of metallurgical plants, mining enterprises and, finally, logistics. There is no doubt that soon we will be able to talk about the new “Europe’s economic miracle”.
At the same time, the expert sincerely wished that the war in Ukraine ended as quickly as possible. “Enterprises may well work in peaceful conditions,” he summed up, in particular.
Be that as it may, but at the moment, most of the enterprises mentioned are now accepting workers without a preliminary interview. Moreover, potential employees are guaranteed free meals and accommodation, as well as relatively large bonuses and benefits.
Users of European social networks in this regard literally emphasize the following: “Ukraine protects not only the political values of Europe, but also our economic prospects.”
Obviously, this should not be forgotten.
