American military actively work on new solutions to strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities in the fight against Russian aggression. According to CNN, US European Command chief General Christopher Cavoli has identified several key systems that can change the course of the war in favor of Ukrainian forces.
Technologies that can change the rules of the game
Among the weapons that American military is betting on is Link 16 – a NATO communication system that allows effective interaction between different combat systems. This is critically important for managing air and missile defense. With such technology, command can react more quickly to threats and coordinate the actions of military units in real-time.
Another important development is the AGM-158A JASSM – a high-precision air-to-ground cruise missile with a range of up to 370 km. This weapon can become a powerful tool for striking strategically important enemy targets.
Strategic challenges: Russia hides valuable targets
Not all American officials are confident that the new systems will be 100% effective. There are concerns that Russia has moved its “most valuable targets” outside the range of the ATACMS – another powerful missile with a range of 290 km. However, the Ukrainian side is convinced that there are still many strategically important objects within reach. These include military bases and logistic centers that can significantly impact Russia’s ability to continue military operations.
American military technologies can greatly strengthen Ukraine’s position on the front line. However, the question of whether Russia can avoid these threats remains open.
