Despite the fact that the SMO is “going according to plan”, the Kremlin has started to investigate those responsible for the loss in Ukraine. This is an important signal, because until recently Putin did not allow even the thought of such a variant of the development of events. Currently, various options are being discussed on how to present the situation to the Russian public.
It must be said right away that the official Kremlin even now believes that victory is almost in its pocket. It’s just that instead of a blitzkrieg, the war will last a long time. However, the percentage of confidence has significantly decreased, so Russian propaganda experts were given the task of preparing an explanation for the failures.
The President of the Russian Federation hopes that it will not be necessary to use the blanks, but they must be available just in case.
Victory!
At the moment, the Kremlin’s PR specialists consider the “We won!” narrative to be the most likely option. This is not surprising, because it completely fits into the general tendency to call white black. And this tactic is successful.
That is, it will be possible to convey to the people that all the tasks of the SMO have been fully fulfilled, so the Russian army can return to their country.
The USA is to blame for everything
Traditionally, Russia can blame the West, saying that it did everything to once again destroy the Russian Federation, but nothing succeeded. Against this background, the defeat will not look so sad, because it was possible to overcome the threat of complete liquidation of the state. That is, once again, defeat turns into another victory.

The third option is internal traitors. Someone from the top military leadership, up to the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, can be called a traitor, and demonstrative purges and punishments can be carried out. This would kill two birds with one stone:
– to provide the people with “guilty ones” so that there is someone to direct public aggression;
– to cause ordinary people to feel the “firm hand” of the owner.
Experts say that in case of defeat, Putin will not calm down, and in a couple of years, he will make another attempt to attack Ukraine. During this time, he will strengthen the aviation and navy, which are still quite effective.
