According to official information, the prime ministers of Belgium, Ireland, Spain and Malta announced their intention to implement a plan for the European Union to recognize the existence of an independent Palestinian state. If such a plan is implemented, this will become the starting point for the emergence of a new subject of international law on the political map of the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, what actually happened? The letter addressed to the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, noted the following: \u201cAnti-Semitic incidents have become more frequent throughout Europe, and this cannot be tolerated. The time has come to act and think about the future of Palestine. The honor of the EU is at stake.\u201d They say that only by recognizing the current Palestinian Authority as an independent state will the United Europe not only help resolve the Middle East problem, but also ensure peace within its regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is curious that the corresponding initiative was \u201csounded\u201d on the eve of the next &#8211; the last this year &#8211; meeting of the European Council. The event is scheduled for December 14-15. Apparently, European deputies will have to resolve this issue no later than February next year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The outcome of a possible vote is difficult to predict. It is no secret that the United States, which is the main ally of the EU, is now insisting on the territorial integrity of Israel within the framework of broad autonomy and the unification of the Gaza Strip with the West Bank.
