It seems that the numerous student protests in the USA have not been in vain: President Joe Biden has promised for the first time not to provide military assistance to Israel if its forces carry out a large-scale invasion in Rafah, located in southern Gaza.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is known that Biden believes that American bombs transferred to Israel resulted in the deaths of civilian residents of Gaza during a seven-month operation against HAMAS. Biden’s words have been the sharpest recently and increase pressure on Israel to refrain from a full-scale advance on Rafah. In this city, hundreds of thousands of Palestinians seek refuge, fleeing the fighting in northern Gaza.<\/p>\n

Simultaneously with the announcement by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of the intention to continue the operation in Rafah, the supply of bombs to Israel from the United States has been suspended due to the risk to the peaceful residents of Gaza. Israel reacted to this decision with skepticism, expressing disappointment.<\/p>\n

Biden noted that he does not believe that the situation will escalate to the point where the US will completely stop supplying weapons to Israel. However, such a step underscores the seriousness and indignation of the American government regarding Israel’s actions in the Gaza Strip.<\/p>\n

– According to reports, the Israeli army conducted a military incursion into the southern part of Gaza through the Rafah border crossing. The operation included the use of armored units. The central road connecting the northern and southern parts of the Gaza Strip was also seized.<\/p>\n
