The European Union already has a plan in case Hungary fails to bring important issues to the agenda. Currently, Hungary is blocking decisions regarding military aid and the Assistance Fund for Ukraine. However, the EU hopes to reach a consensus during the Belgian presidency by the end of this month.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>Hungary&#8217;s EU Council Presidency and Potential Threats<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A senior EU official noted that the Belgian presidency is actively working to resolve these issues, and there is hope for a shared solution. He also believes that Hungary&#8217;s presidency could be successful as it would enhance their national prestige. Hungary is likely interested in ensuring that their presidency does not lead to chaos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Contingency Plan in Case of Failure<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The EU is prepared for the possibility that Hungary&#8217;s presidency may prove unsuccessful. In such a case, EU countries may take additional measures.
