Borrell on Possible Peace Talks Between Ukraine and Russia<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The chief diplomat highlighted that Zelensky’s willingness “to continue peace negotiations and hold another conference with Russia is genuine.” He noted that during the Peace Summit, the EU reaffirmed its commitment to engaging Russia in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“However, look at what Putin said during Prime Minister Orb\u00e1n’s visit to Moscow. These are Putin’s preconditions. Certainly, we must be involved in any attempt to achieve peace through diplomatic negotiations and whatever it takes, but not on Putin’s terms,” Borrell emphasized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The European Union remains steadfast in its support for Ukraine and is committed to ensuring that any peace agreement aligns with international law and respects Ukraine’s sovereignty.
