Ukraine and Poland have taken a significant step towards resolving complex historical issues related to past conflicts. Both countries have exchanged lists of places where search and exhumation of victims’ remains are planned. This process became possible thanks to an agreement between the leaders of the countries who seek to avoid politicization of sensitive historical memory topics.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deputy Minister of Culture of Ukraine Andriy Nadjos emphasized in a comment to the Polish Press Agency (PAP) that Ukraine understands the importance of this issue for Polish society. In November 2024, the ban on conducting works, which had been in place since 2017, was lifted, marking a breakthrough in cooperation between the countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How does this contribute to political dialogue?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Collaboration on historical memory is not only a gesture of respect for the past but also a tool for strengthening modern relations between Ukraine and Poland.
